How to Link WiFi Extender to Laptop
Linking a WiFi Extender or a Netgear router to a laptop works by having the laptop act as if it is connected to the internet, just like when you have an active connection to the internet. This process requires that the laptop have been placed in what is known as an AMAP/AFAP region, which stands for Advanced Accessory Portability and Policy Database. Once the laptop has been positioned in this kind of region, then you are able to find a wireless device with an available SSID and a name that matches the SSID of the network you want to connect to.
